Phantoms Silence the Fog in Defensive Masterclass, 100-94
Singh Orchestrates Phantoms' Road Win; Fog's Struggles Continue

SAN FRANCISCO – The Philadelphia Phantoms weathered a late surge from the San Francisco Fog, ultimately prevailing 100-94 at the Chase Center on Thursday night. Despite a strong rebounding effort from the Fog, key offensive execution and clutch plays down the stretch from the Phantoms proved too much for the home team, who continue to search for momentum in their February campaign.
The Phantoms established an early rhythm, with Maya Singh leading the charge. Her dual-threat ability was on full display, dishing out assists and scoring efficiently. Philadelphia built a steady lead through the first half, capitalizing on several Fog turnovers that turned into fast breaks. Anya Morozova kept the Fog within striking distance, battling for crucial rebounds and contributing offensively, but San Francisco’s shooting woes plagued them throughout.
In the third quarter, the Fog mounted a spirited comeback, fueled by Isabella Aoki’s aggressive defense and timely steals, which led to easy baskets. A three-pointer from Anya Morozova narrowed the gap to just a few possessions. However, the Phantoms responded with impressive composure. Felix Chen and Catalina Vega anchored the interior, while Maya Singh continued her masterful playmaking, finding open shooters and controlling the tempo.
“We knew they’d make a run,” said Phantoms Head Coach Javier Morales. “Our focus was to stay disciplined, execute our game plan, and trust each other. Maya was phenomenal tonight, setting the tone for us.”
“We fought hard, but we just couldn’t get our shots to fall when we needed them most,” lamented Fog captain Lars Andersen. “We’ll learn from this and get back to work.”
The Phantoms secured the victory with strong free-throw shooting in the final minutes, stifling any further comeback attempts by the Fog.
