Fog's Deep Bench and Clutch Shooting Seal Victory Over Bears

SAN FRANCISCO – The San Francisco Fog weathered a furious rally from the Berlin Bears, ultimately prevailing 120-113 in a high-octane Pro League matchup that kept the home crowd on the edge of their seats.
The Fog built a comfortable lead in the first half, showcasing their balanced offensive attack and stifling defense that forced numerous turnovers. However, the Bears, led by a resurgent Quentin Ford, clawed their way back in the second half, making it a nail-biting affair. The game’s complexion shifted late in the fourth quarter when Serena Dubois, who finished with 18 points and 5 assists, hit a crucial three-pointer that ignited a 10-0 run for San Francisco. This surge, coupled with key defensive stops from Anya Morozova (9 points, 10 rebounds, 5 steals), proved to be the eventual difference-maker.
“We knew they wouldn’t quit,” said Fog Head Coach Evelyn Reed. “Berlin is too talented for that. But our guys really dug deep and executed down the stretch. Serena’s shot was huge, but it was a total team effort to secure this win.”
Despite a valiant effort from Ford, who poured in 19 points and grabbed 7 rebounds for the Bears, the Fog’s relentless pace and efficient shooting, particularly from beyond the arc, proved too much to overcome. Chen Wei was instrumental for the Fog with 13 points and a game-high 7 assists, orchestrating their offense masterfully. The Bears fought admirably, with Anya Lindgren and Kai Petersen contributing 14 points each, but their free-throw shooting woes (51.9%) hindered their comeback.
“It was a tough loss,” admitted Bears forward Quentin Ford. “We made some mistakes, and they capitalized. We’ll learn from this and come back stronger.”
