NEW YORK – The New York Knights showcased their offensive firepower on Thursday night, overcoming a gritty Las Vegas Aces squad with a dominant 117-103 victory. A barrage of three-pointers and a stellar performance from Stella Dupont propelled the Knights to their sixth win this February, solidifying their position in the league standings. The Aces kept it close through the first half, but New York’s relentless attack in the second half proved too much to handle.

The game started at a furious pace, with both teams trading buckets early. The Aces, led by Elara Brooks’ sharp shooting, managed to keep the score tight, even holding a slim lead midway through the second quarter. However, a crucial three-pointer from Sofia Clemente just before halftime ignited a spark for the Knights, sending them into the break with momentum.

That momentum carried into the third quarter, where Stella Dupont took over. She poured in 20 of her game-high 32 points in the second half, expertly navigating the Aces’ defense and knocking down timely jumpers. A string of consecutive field goals from Dupont, coupled with suffocating defense that forced turnovers, allowed New York to build a double-digit lead they would not relinquish.

“We knew they had scoring threats, but we also knew if we executed our game plan, we could win,” said Knights head coach, Marcus Thorne. “Stella was absolutely sensational tonight. She carried us when we needed it most.”

Despite a valiant effort from the Aces, who saw Ethan Hughes contribute 15 points and Sasha Volkov add 9 points and 9 rebounds, they couldn’t contain the Knights’ offensive explosion. The Knights shot a blistering 44.0% from three-point range, a testament to their ball movement and unselfish play.
