Fog Rolls Over Lions 118-94 Behind Andersen's Dominance
Andersen's Double-Double Fuels Fog's Dominant Home Victory

SAN FRANCISCO – The San Francisco Fog unleashed a relentless offensive attack and stifled the London Lions en route to a commanding 118-94 victory Monday night at the Bayport Arena. The Fog’s balanced scoring and superior rebounding proved too much for the Lions, who struggled to find consistent offense, particularly from beyond the arc.
The game began with both teams trading blows, but a decisive run by the Fog in the second quarter, sparked by a steal and fast break by Chen Wei, ignited their momentum. San Francisco’s defense tightened, forcing numerous turnovers and limiting the Lions’ scoring opportunities. By halftime, the Fog had built a comfortable lead they would never relinquish.
Lars Andersen was the undeniable catalyst for the Fog, posting a dominant 21 points and a game-high 16 rebounds. His presence in the paint was felt on both ends of the floor. “We knew we had to control the boards tonight,” Andersen stated post-game. “Our energy was high, and we executed our game plan. It feels good to get this win at home.”
Chen Wei added 19 points and two steals, showcasing his two-way impact. For the Lions, Chloe Beaumont led the charge with 22 points, and Leo O’Connell contributed 19, but their efforts were not enough to overcome the Fog’s collective strength.
“Our ball movement was exceptional,” commented Fog Head Coach Eva Rostova. “We shared the ball, found the open man, and that’s what leads to big wins like this. I’m proud of the effort from every single player.”
The Fog’s ability to consistently find open shooters and convert on key possessions, coupled with their strong rebounding effort, secured their status as a formidable force in the World Pro League.
