Titans Dominate Storm 105-74 Behind Balanced Offensive Barrage
Toronto's Depth and Shooting Overwhelms Seattle in Road Victory
By Alex Thompson
SEATTLE – The Toronto Titans unleashed a potent offensive display, cruising to a decisive 105-74 victory over the Seattle Storm on Tuesday night at the Climate Pledge Arena. A balanced scoring attack and superior shooting efficiency proved too much for the Storm, who struggled to find their rhythm on either end of the court. The win solidifies the Titans’ early-season momentum in Pro League play.
The Titans established their dominance early, with a crisp offensive execution that saw them build a significant lead by halftime. Toronto’s ability to knock down threes, coupled with their relentless attack on the offensive glass, kept the pressure on Seattle’s defense. While the Storm showed flashes of good ball movement, their shooting woes were a critical factor in the widening gap.
Toronto’s dynamic duo of Sofia Lindberg and Lena Eriksson led the charge, each pouring in 18 points. Lindberg added an impressive seven assists, orchestrating the Titans’ offense with precision, while Eriksson contributed six rebounds. For Seattle, Mila Stone fought valiantly, posting a team-high 12 points, seven rebounds, and five assists, showcasing her all-around game despite the team’s struggles. Zara Petrova also chipped in with 15 points.
“We came in here with a game plan, and we executed it tonight,” said Titans head coach Marcus Bell. “Our ball movement was exceptional, and we got contributions from everyone. That’s the kind of team basketball we want to play.”
Mila Stone acknowledged the difficulty of the night for the Storm. “They shot the ball really well, and we had some uncharacteristic lapses,” Stone commented. “We’ll look at the film and regroup. We know we’re capable of more.”
The Titans’ ability to spread the scoring and generate open looks proved overwhelming for Seattle, who were unable to mount a serious comeback.
