LAS VEGAS – The Las Vegas Aces showcased their offensive firepower in a commanding 116-92 victory over the London Lions at the Michelob Ultra Arena on Saturday. A relentless scoring spree, highlighted by a career-best shooting night from Ethan Hughes and a masterful double-double from Finnian Harper, propelled the Aces to a decisive win, solidifying their position in the February 2026 Season standings.

From the opening tip, the Aces established a potent offensive rhythm. Ethan Hughes ignited the crowd with an early three-pointer, setting the tone for a night where he would lead all scorers. The Lions attempted to keep pace, with Freya Lund and Lyra Belov showing flashes of brilliance, but Las Vegas’s ball movement, evident in their staggering 34 assists, proved too much to handle.

Hughes poured in 25 points, including a trio of crucial three-pointers, while point guard Finnian Harper orchestrated the offense with an impressive 11 assists to go along with 16 points. Elias Bergstrom also chipped in significantly with 18 points off the bench, demonstrating the Aces’ depth.

“We executed our game plan to near perfection tonight,” said Aces Head Coach Maria Sanchez. “The ball was moving, guys were hitting shots, and our defense stepped up when we needed it. It was a complete team effort.”

The momentum firmly shifted in the second half as the Aces’ lead swelled. Despite strong rebounding performances from the Lions’ Cassia Aoki and Olga Petrova, who each grabbed 10 boards, London struggled to contain the Aces’ versatile attack. The Lions’ defensive intensity, marked by Lyra Belov’s four steals, couldn’t overcome their shooting woes and a significant turnover differential.

Hughes, who finished 9-of-10 from the free-throw line, acknowledged the team’s synergy. “We’re clicking right now. When everyone is involved like that, it’s tough for any team to guard us.”
