Prowlers Dominate Lumberjacks 122-99 Behind Reed's Double-Double
Denver's Balanced Attack Overwhelms Portland, Maya Reed Leads the Charge

DENVER – The Denver Prowlers delivered a statement performance on their home court, overwhelming the Portland Lumberjacks with a dominant 122-99 victory. A relentless offensive effort and suffocating defense, highlighted by exceptional ball movement, proved too much for Portland, as the Prowlers secured a crucial win in Pro League play.
The game began with both teams trading early baskets, but the Prowlers’ sharp shooting and superior ball security quickly began to tilt the scales. Denver’s offense, led by a stellar showing from Maya Reed, found its rhythm in the second quarter, pulling away from a lackluster Lumberjacks squad. Portland struggled to find consistent scoring, with Lily Wong and Emil Karlsson putting in valiant efforts, but the Prowlers’ depth and execution on both ends of the floor were simply overwhelming.
Maya Reed was the undisputed star of the night for Denver, pouring in a game-high 20 points to go along with a massive 14 rebounds and dishing out 3 assists. Her control of the paint and ability to create second-chance opportunities were instrumental. The Prowlers’ balanced attack saw five players score in double figures, showcasing their offensive versatility. For Portland, Lily Wong and Emil Karlsson battled hard, with Wong contributing 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists, while Karlsson added 11 points, 10 rebounds, and a game-high 3 steals.
“We came out with the right energy tonight,” said Prowlers guard Nina Popova, who chipped in 13 points and 5 assists. “Everyone was sharing the ball, and we were locked in defensively. That’s the kind of team basketball we want to play every night.”
Lumberjacks coach David Miller acknowledged the performance gap. “Denver played a fantastic game. They moved the ball incredibly well, and we couldn’t match their intensity for stretches. We have to learn from this and come back stronger.”
