Aviators Soar Past Fog 128-93 on Unstoppable Offensive Barrage
Atlanta's Balanced Attack Overwhelms San Francisco
By Ethan Hayes
ATLANTA – The Atlanta Aviators delivered a statement performance on their home court, dominating the San Francisco Fog 128-93 in a World Pro League matchup that showcased their offensive prowess and airtight ball movement. From the opening tip, Atlanta controlled the tempo, never letting San Francisco find a rhythm and securing a commanding victory.
The Aviators’ offense exploded early, with multiple players contributing to a relentless scoring attack. Adrik Petrov orchestrated the offense masterfully, dishing out a game-high 10 assists while adding 16 points and 7 rebounds. Julian Morales and Yasmine Sharif provided potent scoring punches, netting 18 and 17 points respectively, with Sharif also contributing two steals that ignited fast breaks. Atlanta’s ability to spread the scoring load, coupled with their exceptional ball security (only 6 turnovers), proved too much for the Fog.
San Francisco struggled to keep pace, hampered by inefficient shooting, particularly from beyond the arc (24.4% from three). Despite a strong rebounding effort led by Chen Wei (9 rebounds) and Iris Graham (8 rebounds), they couldn’t generate sustained offensive momentum. Leilani Kai was a bright spot for the Fog, leading all scorers with 26 points, but it wasn’t enough to counter Atlanta’s collective effort.
“We stuck to our game plan and executed tonight,” said Aviators forward Adrik Petrov. “When we move the ball like that and everyone is involved, we’re a tough team to stop.”
Fog head coach Anya Morozova acknowledged the challenge. “Atlanta played a fantastic game. We need to find ways to be more consistent on offense and close out possessions. We’ll learn from this and get back to work.”
