Sentinels Surge Past Surfers 114-92 on Stellar Second Half
Paris Dominates Sydney with Balanced Attack and Rebounding Prowess
PARIS – The Paris Sentinels asserted their dominance on home court Saturday, shaking off a sluggish start to overpower the Sydney Surfers 114-92 in a commanding February 2026 Season victory. After entering halftime tied, the Sentinels unleashed a relentless offensive surge and suffocating defense to seal their 16th win.
The first half was a tightly contested affair, with both teams exchanging blows. Sydney’s Omar Khalil, who finished with a game-high 23 points, ignited the Surfers with sharp drives to the basket, including a crucial steal and fast-break layup that momentarily swung momentum. However, the Sentinels’ depth began to shine through. Luna Diaz, orchestrating the offense with her team-leading 6 assists, found open shooters and flashed her own scoring ability with clutch baskets.
The turning point arrived early in the third quarter. A barrage of three-pointers, including a key triple from Diaz, coupled with strong interior play from Noah Harrison (17 points, 10 rebounds) and Rhys Williams (17 points), propelled Paris on a 15-2 run. “We knew we had to pick up the energy on both ends,” said Sentinels head coach Antoine Dubois. “Our rebounding advantage in the second half was critical. This team has heart, and they showed it tonight.”
The Sentinels continued to build their lead throughout the fourth, with Julian Blackwood and Caleb Singh adding 18 and 15 points respectively. Sydney struggled to contain Paris’s varied attack and ultimately succumbed to the Sentinels’ relentless pace and superior rebounding.
“We played with more purpose in the second half,” commented Diaz. “When we share the ball and play defense like that, we’re a tough out. It’s a big win for us heading into the next stretch of games.”
